Starting today January 30, 2013 I will be publicly taking a local based business and growing it through various online marketing strategies to bring in a bunch of new customers. This is a marketing technique I came up with call the Local Overtake Technique and it allows us to take up several spots of Google’s first page. The business we will be using has almost zero online presence and I will be showing you how to take up several spots in Google for your local keywords.   2. I’m a life insurance salesman. My niche market is life insurance for people with Diabetes and other medical conditions. I do not know where to start.
    Tell me where to start first

    • I would start with video marketing. Start finding keywords in your new and make videos on those topics. Have those video lead to a lead generation page to capture the person’s info. Or have your phone number in the video itself.

        I’m back with my progress as promised.
        It’s been a hectic 10 days with some serious late nights I can tell you.
        I have now 90% finished my conservatory website, obviously targeting conservatories in the stoke-on-trent area in the UK.
        I have done like you said and used page specific keywords to rank different pages of my website and it is working :-)
        The keywords I am trying to rank for are as follows
        *conservatories stoke on trent
        *double glazing stoke on trent
        *upvc windows stoke on trent
        *upvc doors stoke on trent
        *composite doors stoke on trent
        *guttering stoke on trent.
        So far I am either on page 1 through to 4 for each of the keywords, baring in mind that the website has only been live for about 5 days.
        I am ranking on page 1 with my profile for conservatories stoke on trent, I will also be ranking second in the listing as I purchased some paid advertising from them £450 for the year.
        I am waiting for the google places varification code to be sent which takes a bit longer with me living in the UK.
        I have also signed up to more business directories, in fact I am sick of entering the same details, I will definitely outsource this part the next time.
        All the social network sites are setup eg facebook, twitter, google +, linkedin, Pinterest (please feel free to like on my website:-)
        Oh, I also signed up to google authorship to get my picture next to my listing, this definitely makes it stand out.
        I am now in the process of making my first sales advert for my youtube channel, using some slideshows and a couple of fiverr gigs at the moment because funds are running low.
