Im Back! YouTube Reinstated My Account After The Appeal!

It’s true YouTube and I made up! In under 24 hours of writing my blog post I was able to get my account reinstated and all flags removed off my videos! This whole experience sent me through a wide range of emotions but I am glad I went through it and came out on top! In today’s post I am I will cover everything from why my account REALLY got flagged and suspended, how I got it back to normal, my thoughts about YouTube and their policies, and what to do if this happens to you. So let’s jump into it!

UPDATE – I got my account back, here’s the update!

It’s a gut wrenching feeling when you see a years worth of hard work thrown right out the window and what makes it worse is that is was done by your best friend. Yes, YouTube is my businesses best friend and we were getting along great! Together we had gained over 4,000 awesome subscribers, just about 300,000 views and we were proud to be teaching others how to grow their business using YouTube ethically. I emphasis ethically because there are a lot of people looking to make a quick buck and trick others into scams, buying thousand of fake views, filling YouTube with spam and harassing others. Not only was I against all that, but I strongly encouraged others to use YouTube ethically and stay within their guidelines and rules. In fact, in one of my last videos titled “How To Get More Views On YouTube – Top 9 Techniques”, I gave 9 ethical ways to get more views and directly told people not to buy views. As you can see, YouTube and I got along great, we had a great respect for one another, and quite frankly…we loved each other (don’t tell my wife). In today’s post I am going to tell you the story of how it all fell apart in 72 hours.

PROOF – Taking Up Several Spots Of Google (Live Marketing Challenge Update)

It’s been a while since we’ve done an update of the Live Marketing Challenge, partly because I wanted to give the directory profile ranking process some time to actually work, partly because I have been super busy with some other projects, and partly because I have been lazy. Either way, this update is ready to rock-n-roll so let’s get into it!

How To Rank Your Directory Profiles – Live Marketing Challenge

ranking-directory-sitesANNNNDDD moving right along in the Live Marketing Challenge we are going to show you to rank your directory profiles. This means you can get your Yelp, Yellowpages, SuperPages, and ANY other directory profile to come up on the first page of Google. Just like this picture to our right. There are two major benefits to this: first, which is pretty obvious, you can get your information displayed on the first page of Google, and second, you are pushing your competition right off the first page leaving only your online properties to be found. Can you imagine only having your listings on the first page of Google? Pretty sweet, right?

How We Ranked This Local Business Video – Local Marketing Challenge #7

It’s time! Time for what you ask? Time to take up several spots in Google and we are starting with video! In fact, I have already started the video ranking campaign for Kat’s Yoga Studio in the Live Marketing Challenge and I am pleasantly surprised with the results. I will be going through all the steps we took (and giving you a 60 minute training video) to get the video ranked, but first I want to show you the results we got and give you a timeline of how long it took. We have a ton of info packed into this post, so let’s begin.

How To Make The Perfect Local Video Ad – Live Marketing Challenge Video Marketing Part B

We are continuing right along with the Live Marketing Challenge and in this post we are going over Kat’s marketing video. When you are creating videos they should be designed in a certain format to be able to convert your viewers into callers and customers. In this post I will show you exactly what we did with Kat’s video and how you can do the same thing to get the best marketing video possible.

A video intro or logo reveal is a great way for you to brand your business and create awesome visual effects in your video. Most people don’t realize you can actually get these done for about $20. You don’t need to spend hundreds of dollars to have a video editor create one for you, although you can if you want. There is mistake that most people use with video intros and logo reveals and this can lead to losing video viewers and low audience retention rates. In this post, we will show you how to get one for your business and how to use them correctly.

Facebook Marketing For Local Businesses – Live Marketing Challenge Post #5

facebook marketing 101Facebook is an important part of any business, and in my opinion, it is a little more valuable for local businesses. Using Facebook allows you to announce specials, deals, your hours, etc and it allows that your announcements and content to be spread virally throughout Facebook. But, the most important reason is because it allows you to easily build an audience of local residents. If you decide to run an ad you can have that ad only appear for people who live in your area and you can even choose whatever demographic you want. That is extremely powerful for almost every local based business. In this post we will go over everything you need to get started with Facebook and see how we did it with Kat’s Yoga Studio.

viral marketingIs viral video marketing a good strategy for local and small business owners? It can be if it is done correctly and set up properly. In fact, it’s a lot easier than most people think. But, do you actually know what viral means? Once you understand the meaning and see how it can be a powerful tool for your small and local business you will be thanking me! Let’s check out how you can use it in your business.
